Accessed via the Marketing Icon Opportunities provides a method of tracking and managing sales opportunities to potential prospects. Allowing tracking of the status, forecast and closing values of the sale as well as giving a visual indication of probability of closure and cumulative 'at a a glance' running totals.
It can be used in conjunction with campaigns which provides an organizational layer and management and tracking of multiple opportunities resulting from a sales or marketing campaign.
The functions within opportunities are security controlled. The functions are located under the enCentral module and within the 'Prospect/Campaign' sub-module. You will need to grant permission to security groups to enable users top access the functions. Please refer to the Users & Security section for more information on this.
Initially the opportunity is created and defined in the system using the Add function (see Adding Opportunities ), often as a result of initial contact from a prospect. The opportunity details are then updated (see Updating Opportunities ) as the opportunity develops either until the opportunity is closed and completed either successfully or not.
