A campaign is, used for managing sales campaigns and tracking revenue generated from the sales opportunities as well as providing and organizational layer. It is used in conjunction with the opportunities function function and it is here where campaigns, selectable from opportunities are defined.
Campaigns are managed from the enVisual maintenance section, instructions have been provided for navigation to this in the enCentral Maintenance section of help.
In this section you will learn about adding a campaign, updating the campaign details and deleting campaigns. This maintenance sections operates in a similar way to the other maintenance items using the following standard controls found at the bottom of the window.
Standard Controls The standard controls bar, which appear at the bottom of the screen can be used to change the selected maintenance item.
Add This allows the user to define a new campaign.
This will launch the standard enVisual process launcher.
Campaigns is based around the enVisual enProcess module and some of it's functions are inherent to enProcess, more details on this can be found in the enProcess help.
The client is displayed at 'a', this is the enVisual contact that is responsible for running the campaign.This can be changed, by using the find function (b) to launch the enVisual GES. If the contact currently does not exist as a contact within enVisual then then a new contact can be added and selected using the search function.
Ensure that the global find option is enabled under the performance tab, prior to commencing, in system configuration if a different style search engine is displayed.
Ensure that the selected process 'c' is 'enVisual - Campaign Process'.
Ensure that status is set to active and that the start now check box 'd' is ticked.
Click the select button 'e' to begin the addition process. Clicking cancel will cancel starting the process and return to the grid.
This will launch the campaigns wizard.
Each data capture form has the same navigational control panel. The controls perform the following functions
Close Closes the process wizard without completing it, which means it can still be updated or edited. Complete This closes and completes the process wizard, which means that it can still be viewed as read only, but not updated or edited.
In terms of campaigns correct selection of the above controls is important as once you click complete on a campaign the details of the campaign cannot be updated.
ABC (may be disabled) This allows use of the enVisual optional spell checking function. Use of this control will spell check data enter into the data capture form fields. Previous Page (left arrow) Navigates to previous page if available Next Page (right arrow) Navigates to next page if available Create Task Allows an enVisual process task to be created against the current campaign. I.e.ensuring that correct media stock is order for marketing.

When the campaign is initially defined data may not be available for many of the fields like, 'Actual spend', 'Other Sales' and 'Opportunity Sales'. These fields are updated during the course of the campaign using the edit function described below.
Opportunity Sales The opportunity sales field use a hyperlinked function, indication by a blue label, that allows the revenue from closed and completed opportunities that are associated with the current campaign to be added to the sales field.

Once the required details have been added the wizard can then be closed using the 'close' button. When returning to the campaigns grid if the newly added opportunity is not visible then click the refresh button to refresh the view.
Edit This function is used to update the details of the campaign, for example to modify the actual spend values, add sales revenue or complete the campaign.
Upon launching edit the campaign wizard will be opened for the selected opportunity at page 1.
Using the control buttons navigate to the appropriate page, if required, and change the required field value. Details of field values can be found above.
Once the required updates have been made then use either the close button or complete button to commit the change dependant on the desired status.
Close Use this function if you are updating the details and the campaign is not completed Complete Only use this function if you wish to conclude the campaign, i.e. the campaign has reached it's completion date. As following completion the details cannot be edited, only viewed.
When the campaign change has been committed refresh the grid using the refresh button.
Delete The delete button has been disabled for campaigns. Campaigns cannot be deleted.
Export This will export whatever is in the currently displayed working grid into an excel spreadsheet, providing excel is installed, so that the campaigns can be listed and used externally from the system.
Refresh The refresh button simply refreshes what is being displayed in the grid
X The X button simple closes the maintenance module. |
