Note: Both enVisual and LiveFile should be installed and brought up to date (via the allscripts) on the enEvent6 Server. The enEvent6 server can be the same server as the SQL server that runs enVisual and LiveFile (However this is not necessary).
1. | Please run the enVisual ODBC changer to confirm it is connecting to the correct database server. |
a. | Please configure as required for your environment |
2. | Confirm that your connection to the LiveFile database is working correctly. |
a. | Please attempt to connect to the LiveFile database using LiveFile directly before continuing with this guide. |
b. | If you cannot connect then please recheck the installation using the guide for that product. |
3. | Confirm you are using a license that includes the enEvent6 module |
a. | This can be checked with enSynergy support staff |
4. | Check and assign the required users (users who will connect on the server) to use this module through the module security section within the main enVisual product security tab |
b. | Please configure this as required for your environment |
5. | Open the enEvent6 folder location from your ftp space as advised when deployed |
a. | You will notice a folder option for x86 or x64, which relates to the bit level of your system. |
b. | Please browse through the folder that matches your system, if you are unsure we recommend using the x64 bit version as this is the newest logic and you will be advised at later point if not this is not applicable to your system version. |
6. | Now double click the enEvent.msi to start the install process |
c. | The first screen shows an overview of the version selected for install |
d. | Please press next to continue |
7. | The second screen allows you to set the installation path |
e. | We recommend leaving this as the default unless specifically advised otherwise to change it |
f. | Once your select has been made please press next to continue |
8. | You will now be asked for the components to be installed. |
g. | As this the server installation guide you will not need the office add-in option and it can be de-selected from the drop down menus to show as not available |
h. | Once you selection has been made please press next to continue |
9. | You will now be shown an install confirmation page. |
i. | Please press the install button to install the application |
10. | The application will now install and you will be advised of a finish screen and button once complete |
j. | Pressing finish will complete the installation |
11. | The enEvent6 server application can now be launched from the desktop icon. |
