Beneficiaries This section displays beneficiaries for a managed trust. This section consists of two tabs, Current for all active beneficiaries and History tab to examine beneficiaries. This section is controlled by security at Settings > Security > System Security > Administration > Trust / Foundations > Beneficiaries
Current Tab: this tab consists of Add, Edit and Delete beneficiaries. This tab only displays active beneficiaries. Click Add Beneficiary will display Trust: this has been defaulted to the managed trust selected Beneficiary: two options available here. The ‘Non-Entity’ option that can be used if the beneficiary is not a contact in enVisual. When ticked will enable removed the dropdown option and make the field text field. If the beneficiary is a contact in enVisual, the entity will be displayed in the dropdown. The dropdown will display entities with the beneficiary category assigned in the entity wizard. Type: select a beneficiary type. this field is customable at at EV4 > Configure > Maintenance > enSecretary > Beneficiary Type. Appointment Date: select an appointment date for the beneficiary. The date has been defaulted to current date but can be changed as required. Resignation Date: select a resignation date for the beneficiary if required. The tick box has to be ticked to enable the date dropdown. Percentage and Amount: to be used to input percentage or amount for the beneficiary. Both fields can be used as required. Vesting Age: input a vesting age for the beneficiary. Relationship to Settlor: select a relationship to the beneficiary. The dropdown will display all enVisual relationships. Notes: to be used to enter any relevant notes required. Disallow Distributions: tick box to be used if beneficiary is to be disallowed distributions. Click save when all required information has been inputted. Select a beneficiary on the grid and click Edit Beneficiary, will open the beneficiary in an edit mode. All sections can be edited as required apart from the beneficiary field. Edit the beneficiary as required and click save when completed. This will update the beneficial details on the grid. Select a beneficiary and click Delete Beneficiary will delete the beneficiary from the grid and show the beneficiary in the history tab. History Tab: this section will display all active and deleted beneficiaries. It will also display how the beneficiary has been edited. This tab also displays details such as which user last edited the beneficiary, what date and how many changes.
Select a beneficiary on the grid and click Examine Beneficiary, will display an audit trail of how the beneficiary has been edited and changed. Each line can then be drilled down by double clicking or click the Edit Beneficiary. However, when performing such action for an active beneficiary, the most recent form that contains the latest information for the beneficiary, can be edited as required, and use the save button available on the form to update the changes.
