When you run a report you will be presented with this Preview Screen.
There are three main parts to this window, the control panel at the top, the group tree view on the left side and the main report preview area in the middle.
The Control Panel The control panel has many different buttons which can be used to control how the data as viewed
The Page Navigator The first part of the control panel is the page navigator, in which there are buttons to take you to the first page, previous page, next page and last page along with an indicator of which page you are currently on.
The Preview Options This part of the control panel contains buttons to control how the data is displayed. There are buttons to print the report, change the page setup for example landscape to portrait, a refresh button that will refresh the data on the report, an export button where this report can be exported to a .pdf file for example. Also there is the zoom button which controls how much of the report is viewable at one time, the last button in this section toggles the group tree view on the left on and off.
Record Section This section of the control panel contains the find function that will search through the report to find anything typed in the box. There is also the total number of record display listed here and a percentage records that are displayed. The final number shows how many of the total number of records meet the filter criteria, where filter criteria is any values that you select in enSelect.
The Group Tree View This is the bar the appears down the left hand side of the preview window when you toggle it on using the control button.
If there are any groups in the report for example different invoices then these groups will be displayed in this box, and can be used to jump to that group in the report, this is very handy for navigating through long reports. |
