The share register logic can be configured for each company record from within the "Share Register" tab of the company record.

Share Issue Details:

Under the "Share Issue Details" section we can configure the following requirements

CompanyRecord-ShareRegisterOptions

"Quantity as whole unites"

This option sets the share register to allow transactions with decimal placed numeral logic.  This box will default to supporting the transactions in whole numbers only, while de-ticked the share register will allow decimal numbers (1.7) within the transactions.

"Manual share certificate entry"

This setting allows the share register to support manually entered or blank certificate numbers, including the reuse of existing numbers without an validity checks being applied to the data used within the certificate numbers.

"Auto increment certificate numbers"

This setting forces the share certificate numbers to be automatically incremented during all transactions without interaction from the user to set this numbers.  The feature also supports an initial certificate number for newly created categories.

Important Note:

From version 4.5.31.685 the "Manual share certificate entry" and "Auto increment certificate numbers" settings will be linked forcing the company record to have at least one option set.  The default setting for new company record creation will be the "Manual share certificate entry" option and the auto-increment option would need to be set if required.

Nominal Ledger Mappings

Under the "Nominal Ledger Mappings" section we can select an option to integrate the share transactions into the nominal ledger.

This option is only applicable to a company record that is also configured as an accounting entity with a valid accounting ledger.

Once the option is enabled the nominal accounts can be mapped accordingly.
