Important Notice: A Process Runtime license is required for maximum efficiency functionality.

A User Defined Wizard entity (UDW) is one that has been created with a process (create via enProcess) already attached to it. This option is available to all entity types (person, company, trust etc). This option allows the user to attach one process of their choosing to a new entity whilst still in the entity wizard, once the entity has been created - additional or new processes will need to be attached via the conventional methods.

The option to set this entity type is located on the 'Final Entity Checklist' page as shown below;

Once the user is finished adding all other details in the entity wizard, they can click 'Finish' as standard. At this point, they will be presented with a new 'Process Selection' screen that lists all available processes that can be attached.

After this, the standard 'Add Process to Entity' screen will be presented where the user can configured the process as required. Note that this screen contains a 'Start Now' checkbox, with this selected - pressing Ok will LAUNCH the process. If the user does not require the process to begin immediately, un-tick this box before clicking Ok.

With the entity creation phase complete, we can now view and run the process (with a Process Runtime license) anytime from within the standard right click menu in one of the many entity grids.

UDW via Entity Templates:

An alternate way to create an entity with a UDW attached is to first create an entity template (see Creating a Template) with this option set, all future entities created with the specified template will then have the chosen process attached by default. It is also possible to edit the UDW process that is attached to a template by right clicking the template and selecting 'Edit Template', the right hand menu will contain a section entitled 'User Defined Wizard' as shown below.
